Was just driving down Stanton and wanted to check in to see what you think about the roadway and sidewalk improvements made between Castro Valley Boulevard and Miramar on Stanton Avenue. Thankfully, the road has been resurfaced after being extremely patchy with huge potholes from construction and other utility work being done. That specific stretch now has pedestrian ramps, rain gardens (bio-retention areas) curb extensions and when the lane striping has been completed – will have a bicycle lane. Residents of many areas of Castro Valley have long desired sidewalk installation on their street, and it Stanton between CVB and Miramar looks a lot better, thanks to this Alameda County Public Works project. Have you seen the area lately? What do you think?
