#castrovalley#news#fyi – Yesterday, the West County Board of Zoning Adjustments issued a 3-1 vote to approve Castro Valley Sanitary District‘s proposal to construct a new 20,000 square foot service, maintenance and corporation yard on the former CalTrans yard at 21195 Center Street.

This vote overrides the 5-2 denial on the project issued by the Castro Valley Municipal Advisory Council on April 25. The project is expected to go before the Alameda County Board of Supervisors in the near future for final approval. The new building would consolidate the overall operations of CVSAN and allow them to potentially sell their existing office building on Marshall Avenue to the Hayward Area Recreation and Park District.
